John Riley, P.E., S.E.

Principal

With more than 30 years of experience in structural engineering, John Riley has built a career around helping clients solve complex challenges with practical, thoughtful solutions. As a Principal at Quantum Consulting Engineers, he works on a wide variety of public and private projects, specializing in structural design, seismic analysis, retrofit design, and project management.

John earned degrees in Architectural Engineering and Business Administration from Kansas State University. Throughout his career, he's been known for bringing people together to find creative, effective solutions to even the most challenging projects. He believes the best engineering comes from listening, collaborating, and keeping the client's goals at the center of every decision.

When he's not working, John enjoys exploring the outdoors through travel, camping, hiking, and biking. He also loves tackling home construction projects, building model trains, and spending time with his wife and daughter at their home on Whidbey Island.
